SNB design and build robust Metal Detection Systems in line with the latest retailer codes of practice. When choosing a Metal Detector Conveyor System from SNB our aim is for it to meet or exceed key targets specified in your production requirements, engineering and quality standards. All SNB Twin Head Metal Detection Systems are designed and built in-house at our Manufacturing Facility in Leeds. Our components such as electrical enclosures or aluminium platform sides are manufactured at our Electrical and Engineering Facilities in Luton and Bathgate.
Twin Head Metal Detection Systems continue to provide a solution to complicated and diverse production conditions. Some sites which produce products cooked or contained in aluminium trays and also poly trays will have requirements to detect metal contamination in both formats. The Twin Head Metal Detection System allows for this by housing a standard Metal Detector Search Head alongside a Ferrous in Foil (FIF) Metal Detector Search Head. The correct Search Head for the production run is selected at the start of each batch. For advanced inspection of foil products an X-Ray System can also be used.

Our Twin Head Metal Detection Systems and frames are designed to maximize the performance of your Metal Detectors. We have industry experienced CAD Engineers that will design your conveyor system, framework and all other parts specified such as reject bins and guarding. SNB conveyor frames are manufactured with 3mm wall stainless steel box or tube section for strength and harsh environment suitability. This increased rigidity of our frame design assists with the overall performance. In conductive product applications such as meat, poultry and fish sectors, standard Metal Detection Search Heads are commonly set to compensate for large product effects and cannot compensate vibration effects at the same time. Ferrous in Foils (FIF) Search Heads will always have susceptibility to vibration effects. For instances where this is the case, the performance of your Metal Detectors will be affected by vibration and movement resulting in detrimental sensitivity performance. SNB assess each application to design the maximum strength for your application.
As well as making brand new and bespoke twin head metal detectors for production lines, SNB can offer new and existing customers the option to rent.
To quote the right system for your product, we will need to know your products details (length/width/height and weights) and the factory environment. Once we have all the relevant information, SNB can quote accordingly.
