Our Production and Engineering Technicians at SNB refurbish and overhaul many Metal Detectors, Checkweighers and Combination Systems for our customers each year.
We understand that replacement of tired or failed Inspection Equipment is not always cost effective or time efficient. Metal Detection Search Heads age well compared to their associated conveyors. A mechanical overhaul of the system conveyor is sometimes all that is required to bring your Equipment up to date with performance and compliance offered by new systems.
Upgrading Inspection Equipment
During refurbishment, System Upgrades can be installed to older equipment bringing them up to date with retailers' codes of practice where ever necessary. Refurbishment and overhaul is key if you consider preventative maintenance as important to your production lines. Whilst refurbishment works are carried out SNB offer the option of rental Metal Detectors, Checkweighers and Combination Systems to reduce production down time.
Overhauling Inspection Equipment
If you are looking for your inspection equipment to be refurbished and or upgraded, SNB can help. At our Head Office in Sherburn In Elmet, our workshop engineers can assess and quote accordingly for the work necessary to overhaul your unit. If you require an SNB VU unit to track the efficiency of your line, SNB can also install this either in house or on site.
Keeping Production Going
We appreciate taking a unit away from a production line is difficult. SNB can offer a rental unit to whilst we complete any upgrades. SNB have over 200 refurbished metal detector, checkweighers and combination system stock units available to rent on a short term basis or on an arrangement to suit. Head Swap On Metal Detector
If you are looking for a replacement head, SNB engineers can attend site and assess your current metal detector head. Once we have the relevant dimensions of your current system, our sales team can quote for a replacement head. When delivered to site and the head has been set up, our engineer will run through the basics on how to use the metal detector with your operators.
Trading In A Refurbished Unit
Some customers come to SNB wanting a new or SNB refurbished system and ask whether we will take their old system as part exchange. SNB will consider the purchase of any metal detector, checkweigher, combination system or X-Ray unit.
