Our Scottish office is located within the Whitehill Industrial Estate, Bathgate West Lothian. Situated next to the M8 corridor, our Scottish engineers can travel to customer sites swiftly and promptly. The Bathgate Office is located 40 minutes away from the centre of Edinburgh, and just over half an hour from the centre of Glasgow.

SNB Electronic Services opened the Bathgate site in 2019. The Scottish facility is home to our specialist CNC workshop and aids our Head Office and Southern Office by manufacturing parts intrinsic to our machinery.

Due to the investment that SNB have made in Scotland, it has allowed SNB Bathgate to be at the forefront of product inspection service within Scotland. This allows us to deliver a comprehensive service package at a highly competitive rate to all our customers based within Scotland.

How SNB can aid your Inspection Equipment - Service, Calibration and Repairs

At SNB Electronic Services, we do not insist on service contracts. SNB Electronic Services prides itself on offering customers the benefits of a service contract through our current labour costs. Our Scottish Engineers can attend customer sites for repairs, service calls and calibration visits.

                                                                         

Repairs

All our engineers carry a variety of parts for different brands of Metal Detection, Checkweighing and Combination units. This allows our engineers to promptly fix equipment and let your production continue. Alternatively, if your site requires any specialist parts, SNB can source and fit all types of spare parts.

Service Calls

SNB Bathgate will do the utmost to have an engineer on a customer’s site on the same day. The Scottish office have engineers that are continuously trained and are able to fix variety of customer’s inspection equipment. Our engineers are able to repair many of the models in circulation Loma, Mettler Toledo, CEIA, Fortress and Thremo Fisher.

Calibrations

Our engineers can conduct calibrations on a variety of branded inspection equipment. Once SNB have details of your systems, we will be able to build a calibration history which should decrease the time on site for future visits. Retailer tend to specify that all manufacturers have their inspection equipment calibrated yearly to comply. Although, we have many customers that ask for twice yearly, quarterly and even monthly.

Metal Detector Rentals UK

Across our three facilities, we have a variety of branded refurbished inspection equipment systems. These are all available for customers to rent, hire-to-buy or purchase. Our offices stock units with different checkweigher weighing platforms and metal detector aperture dimensions. When selecting the best unit for the application of a customer’s product, we ask customers to advise SNB the following:

•  The Type of Product (Frozen, ambient, etc.)
•  The Products dimensions (weight, Length x Width x Height)
•  Any Code of Practice requirements (Ex. M&S)
•  The type of packaging (Foil, Met Film, Poly)

Customers with specific sensitivities can send product to our offices for trials to be conducted and given achievable sensitivities. Stock units can be rented at a period to suit. Our Bathgate engineers can attend Scottish customer sites to deliver, commission and train your operators on the basics of how to use the unit.

SNB Electronic Services Bathgate can visit your factory to train Subject Matter Expert Metal Detector training to Tier D level. SNB’s SME courses involves a day training and on successful completion, a certification.
