History
SNB Electronic Services Ltd are the largest independent Metal Detector company in the UK; we provide sales, service and support to meet all your Metal Detection and Checkweighing requirements.
SNB have manufacturing facilities across three locations in the UK; Yorkshire, Bedfordshire and Scotland. Our industry skilled Service Engineers provide support covering the whole of the UK.
At our Head Office and manufacturing facility in Leeds, West Yorkshire, our Technicians manufacture new Inspection Systems bespoke to customer requirements with key components being manufactured at our Electrical and Engineering facilities in Luton and Bathgate. At our Head Office facility we also undertake large volumes of refurbishments for customers’ existing equipment. We have the capabilities to refurbish and upgrade all older versions of Metal Detector and Checkweigher Equipment.

1997
Initiated in 1997 SNB Electronic Services Ltd was set up near York, East Yorkshire by our Founding Managing Directors & Company Secretary, Colin Bolton, Steven Bolton & Linda Bolton. SNB Electronic Services Ltd introduced rapid service support to Customers.

2000
With increased machine sales and additional Service Engineers joining the Team, SNB purchased their first dedicated Engineering Workshop in York.

2004
The demand for rentals increased and machine stock levels grew. We also began designing our own conveyor systems. SNB decided to take the next step and purchase the adjoining Engineering business and its premises to create the space required for further growth.

2007
SNB opened their first demonstration area for head to head testing of the latest Metal Detection Equipment.

2009
Richard Clayton joined the Directors of SNB.

2010
Founding Director, Colin Bolton, retired from day to day operations of SNB Electronic Services Ltd.

2012
Lee Carter joined the team of Directors at SNB Electronic Services Ltd.

2014
SNB had outgrown their facility in Murton and keen to move to the next level of Manufacturing SNB purchased an Engineering Workshop relocating to Sherburn in Elmet near Leeds. Our Engineering facility houses our main production functions; Head office, welding and fabrication, electronics repair workshop, and machine building.

2015
Derek Sale joined the team of Directors at SNB Electronic Services Ltd.
We purchased additional premises in Luton for the manufacture of electrical enclosures and more Service Engineers joined our Team to support our customers down South.

2017
Quick to outgrow the premises at Sherburn in Elmet Leeds, SNB purchased the adjoining premises at our Head office for increased manufacturing capacity.

2018
Kevin Hart joined the team of Directors at SNB Electronic Services Ltd.
SNB Further expanded their manufacturing facilities with a new CNC Engineering & Service Workshop at Bathgate, Scotland. The location is just 30 Minutes travel from Edinburgh and Glasgow ensuring our Customers receive quicker service response times at reduced costs.

SNB's goal to support a greener future was achieved and we now have Solar Panels installed at our Head Office/ Manufacturing Facility.

With several Apprenticeship programs in place and additional recruitment underway, SNB will continue to increase its levels of service, supply and support throughout the UK.
