If you didn’t know already, we opened our doors in 1997 (we are nearly 25 years old!) to all manufacturers across the UK. We help manufacturers with their end of line inspection equipment, including Metal Detectors, Checkweighers, Static Scales, Combination Systems and X-Rays.

We have three offices spread across the UK to help minimise customers response times. Our Head Office is in Sherburn-In-Elmet (near Leeds), our Southern Office is in Luton (Bedfordshire) and a Scottish Office in Bathgate (in-between Glasgow and Edinburgh).

 

Our Services and Products

• Manufacture of New Metal Detection, Checkweighing, and Combination Systems

Since our business opened, we have been able to build new and bespoke systems for new and existing customers. From inclined combination systems, swan neck metal detectors and checkweighers with multiple lanes, we can accommodate to any needs your site has.

 

• Replacement Search Heads

Perhaps your production lines have a systems that with excellent conveyors and belts but perhaps the heads don’t reflect this. We can quote to replace with a new head (head of your choice) and the work needed to accomplish this.

 

• Refurbished Machines

SNB have an extensive stock of metal detectors, checkweighers and combination systems available to hire, purchase or buy on a rent-to-buy scheme. If you are looking for certain sensitivities or accuracies, you can send in products for us to trial before delivery to your site.

 

• Hire Equipment

As previously mentioned, we have a variety of checkweighers, metal detectors and combination systems ready to be hired. Whether you need one for the Christmas period or for a yearlong project, SNB can supply a suitable unit to meet your products applications.

 

• Upgrades and Modifications to meet retailer COPs

Recently, we have seen a lot of customers approach SNB looking to upgrade and modify their current systems to meet their retailers customer codes of practices. We can bring your systems back to our Head Office in Sherburn to be modified for site.

 

• Service, Calibration, Repairs and Breakdowns

Our three sites have skilled engineers available to service, repair and attend breakdowns of a variety of manufactures of metal detectors, combination systems and checkweighers.

 

• Calibration

SNB’s engineers can calibrate metal detectors, checkweighers, combi systems, x-rays and static scales (up to 30kg). Our engineers are trained on a variety of makes such as Fortress, Loma, Ishida, Mettler Toledo, Cassel, Thermo, CEIA and Yamato.

 

• ‘Best Sensitivity’ assessments

Wanting to try better your current sensitivities on your metal detectors? SNB engineers can attend site to try achieve smaller test piece sizes on certain products. Please note that it takes an hour er unit per product and the report will be issued after the visit.

 

• Training Course Provider to ‘Subject Matter Expert’ to Tier D level

One of our experienced engineers can attend site to deliver SME Training to Tier C (Operator) and Tire D (Engineering) level. This is a classroom led course that will take a full day. If you are looking to book this course, we allow up to 7 delegates.

 

• Help Line – 24/7 – 365 days of the year
