This is stock number #627 is a Mettler Toledo Safeline Signature Metal Detector. The unit has an aperture 300mm wide and 200mm high, making it suitable for small boxes and confectionery as the head has a single frequency of 300KHz.

The head is built onto a stainless steel frame 1750mm and has a belt that runs from right to left. The belt itself is a blue single ply and has an air kicker reject attached. This allows any contaminated products to be pushed off the conveyor into a reject bin.

This system is fitted with the following ancillaries and failsafes: photogating sensors, reject confirm sensor, bin full sensor, air pressure switch and detection notifications through beacons.
